#whiteoutMB - Karen and Moses start a movement

"A few nights ago I had a dream that Manitoba united and created a Social Distanced White Out Party.  I put out the call for help and Moses Falco responded..." were Karen Schellenberg's words (Interim pastor at Charleswood Mennonite). Moses is pastor at Sterling Mennonite. They've gotten considerable media attention with this amazing gesture.

Karen further shared these responses she has received:

This past Friday, we decorated our front window with white hearts and a sign thanking health care providers and essential service workers. On Saturday, we received a note- along with Easter treats and gifts for our kids- at our front door. They were from our neighbours across the street. The note said that they loved our heart decorations, and thanked us for our support, as three members of their family work in health care settings. The note ended with their phone number. On Monday, we noticed that their front window is also decorated with white hearts, along with cheerful Easter decorations. I am so thankful that a few paper hearts opened the door to a more meaningful connection with our neighbours!

This one from a health-care worker:

Love what you have inspired others to do with messages of support to health care workers with the white hearts!
I went for a walk this evening with my husband down Wellington Crs this evening and saw so many hearts on peoples windows. It made me catch my breath. Thank you for this-it means more than you know.
